Willem Frens has been working with various engineering and consultancy companies (Tebodin, Capgemini and his own company BA2C). He dealt with project management, structuring, financing, partnerships, technical, economical and financial feasibility studies and organizational change assignments for various clients in Europe and Latin America. Examples in Europe are the project development (and acquisition) of the engineering and construction management of the Shell petrol stations in Central & Eastern Europe(including the management of the Bulgarian part of this project), a feasibility study to develop Hotel Europe in Sarajevo (Bosnia & Herzegovina) and his interim manager position with Nuon (a Vattenfall company) where he was responsible for the improvement/positioning of the Business Process Improvement - Project Management department. Recently he completed his senior project manager assignment with the police force Kennemerland where he was in charge of the development/improvement of the project management department. At the police he also was also responsible for strategic projects like the development and implementation of the police data act processes (Wet Politiegegevens - WPG) including a new approach on how to execute EDP audits. An example of an assignment in Latin America is his present involvement with a large Colombian organization to organize finance (through FMO, EVD-PSI and commercial banks) and structure projects to develop and expand the retail activities in Latin America and Europe. Other Latin American assignments he was involved in are a cultural change advice assignment with Henkel in Guatemala, executing organizational change and strategy development assignments with Comape and Cerveceria Centroamericana and various feasibility studies for Dutch and Latin American dairy, flower and vegetable companies. Further he assisted organizations like Invest in Guatemala and Embassies to develop (feasibility) studies while he is expert for United Nations (UNOPS) for infrastructure, procurement and project management capacity building assignments.
Carmen Monterroso studied Social & Political Sciences (Master of Arts, Chile), Peace & Development Studies (Spain) and Human Rights (Danish Centre for Human Rights, Denmark & Malawi). Next to that she followed various courses and seminars to specialize in human rights, gender equity and peace resolutions after conflicts. She has been working as a consultant in the following areas: social development, public policies, gender, ethnicity and communications for several local and international organizations like the Secretariat of Education in Chile, the UN Mission and Ombudsman office in Guatemala, The Netherlands Embassy/Codersa in Guatemala and various European Commission programs like FOGUAMI: Proyecto de Fortalecimiento de la posición de Guatemala en los mercados internacionales (Improving Guatemala's position in International Markets) and PLCE: Programa Lucha contra las Exclusiones en Guatemala (Fight against women exclusion in Guatemala). Carmen is working as the assistant cultural attaché of the Mexican Embassy in the Netherlands. Next to that she is expert in various international studies and activities to improve the situation/position of women in developing countries and other human rights related topics. Recently she published the article ‘Human Rights in Guatemala. Reforming the weak legal system in the fight against organized crime’. At this moment Carmen is developing a consulting advice within BA2C that will focus on people that want to start working and/or living in Latin America, and explain/train how to adapt to Latin American cultures, values, language and the typical way of living in Latin America. Carmen is developing this practise together with Colombian, Chilean and Mexican experts.
Besides Willem and Carmen BA2C works together with specialists from Universities, engineering & project management companies, management and training consultancies and NGO's from Chile, Guatemala, Mexico, Colombia, Curacao, the Netherlands, UK, France, Spain, Czech Republic and Macedonia.
