ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT USING EFQM BUSINESS EXCELLENCE & INK MANAGEMENT In 1988 fourteen leading European companies started with the development of INK Management & EFQM Business Excellence to initiate a driving force for sustainable excellence. An important element of the INK & EFQM approach is to assess your company - EFQM UK Scan & EFQM Espanol Scan available (our consultants can facilitate this assessment). Going through this process can provide your organization with a clear view of its strengths and areas for improvement. The quality of five organization areas (your leadership, management of employees/HRM, your organization's strategy & policy development approach, your management of partnerships and resources and processes) and four results areas (employee appreciation, customer & supplier appreciation, society appreciation and key performance results) are measured with the INK and EFQM approach. Based on the results projects can be developed to improve your organization. More info EFQM Scans: EFQM UK & EFQM Espanol |

ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT USING KAPLAN & NORTON BALANCE SCORE CARD (BSC) BSC is a relatively simple methodology with a focus on financial indicators. Therefore it is popular with top-management. BSC measures performance indicators that can use to manage and control the organization and change focus/direction when needed. Financial figures are combined in a logical way with input, process and output information like innovation & learning capacity, the customer, internal processes & organization. Therefore BSC can be seen as a mini EFQM model. |

PROCESS IMPROVEMENT USING SIX SIGMA & LEAN Six Sigma was originally developed as a set of practices designed to improve manufacturing processes and eliminate defects. Its application was subsequently extended to other types of business processes. Like its predecessors, Six Sigma asserts that: - Achieve stable and predictable process results are of vital importance to business success; - Processes can be measured, analyzed, improved and controlled; - Achieving sustained quality improvement requires commitment from the entire organization, particularly from top-level management; Six Sigma has two key methods: DMAIC and DMADV, both inspired by Deming's circle of continuous improvement. DMAIC is used to improve an existing business process; DMADV is used to create new product or process designs.
Main goal of the Lean approach is continuous improvement of processes by reducing processing time by elimination of non-value creating elements. The focus is on operational process management and the drive to perfection. |

COSO ENTERPRISE RISK MANAGEMENT Enterprise risk management (ERM) includes the methods and processes used by organizations to manage risks and seize opportunities related to the achievement of their objectives. ERM typically involves identifying particular events or circumstances relevant to the organization's objectives (risks and opportunities), assessing them in terms of likelihood and magnitude of impact, determining a response strategy, and monitoring progress. By identifying and proactively addressing risks and opportunities, business enterprises protect and create value for their stakeholders, including owners, employees, customers, regulators, and society overall.
One of the most important ERM approaches is the COSO ERM Integrated Framework (COSO). This approach effects the organization's board of directors, management, and other personnel, applied in strategy setting and across the organization to identify potential events that may affect the organization, and manage risk to be within its risk appetite and to provide reasonable assurance regarding the achievement of entity objectives. COSO has eight Components (Internal Environment, Objective Setting, Event Identification, Risk Assessment, Risk Response, Control Activities, Information & Communication and Monitoring) and four objectives categories (Strategy, Operations, Financial Reporting and Compliance). |
